Salt River Youth Brass Band

SRYBB welcomes motivated high school and advanced middle school brass and percussion players. Selected musicians rehearse with Salt River Brass mentors and perform on a joint spring concert with Salt River Brass in April 2026.

WHO SHOULD AUDITION?

  • Brass and percussion students in High School

  • Advanced Middle School students are encouraged to apply

    INSTRUMENTS NEEDED

    Trumpet/Cornet

    Flugelhorn

    French Horn

    Baritone

    Euphonium

    Trombone/Bass Trombone

    Tuba (Eb, BBb)

    Percussion

    AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: 3-5 minutes of music demonstrating instrument technique and musicality. It is recommended to prepare two selections of contrasting styles to best demonstrate your abilities (for example, one fast etude and one slow etude).

    Membership invitations will be sent no later than January 10th, 2026

    Masterclasses are OPTIONAL and available to all students regardless of SRYBB membership.
